Thanks for the link, boss. I got a question for you, though. I’ve actually caught a little bit of flack for my comments on the O-line. Did you feel our depth problems were very apparent or am I just missing the boat here?
I’m not sure if it’s a lack of depth, poor fundamentals, or if we’re just that good and deep on the D-line. I have faith that it’ll all get worked out, but I wanted to see if anyone else saw what I saw.

I don’t think you’re that far off-base. I can’t say that I focused on individual matchups, but the numbers kind of tell the tale. Five sacks given up by the second team line in a 32-minute game? Not all of those were the line’s fault, of course, and the definition of a “sack” in a game like this is sketchy. The running game also didn’t do much behind that line.
I’m not particularly concerned yet because we really haven’t seen this year’s line yet. Boling’s had mono, Ben Jones has been banged up, and we saw last year how true freshman can be effective. Some of our depth might even be on the first team line that we saw on Saturday. If we can come out of August with a solid group of 8 or so, I’ll feel pretty good.
The biggest depth question is at tackle, and the dropoff after Tripp and Sturdivant was pretty clear. To be expected, I guess, but that’s something to watch in the preseason.
I’m still wondering what the big deal was over Caleb King’s performance. Nice average, sure, but those were apparently the most impressive 31 yards in the history of the Georgia running game.
